SUMMARY:FPA Journal in the Round: Navigating the Student Loan Landscape
DESCRIPTION:Joe Messinger\, CFP®\, ChFC®\, CLU® of Capstone College Partners is honored to be a part of February’s “Journal in the Round” put on by the FPA Professional Development Learning Center. \nThis month’s topic is “Navigating the Student Loan Landscape.” Adam Minsky\, J.D. will be discussing his February article in the Journal on managing student loans. Together\, Adam and Joe will be discussing the growing problem of massive student loan debt and the different types of loans and repayment options that financial planners can use to help clients navigate this challenging landscape. \nBoth Adam and Joe want to end the student loan debt crisis\, but they approach it from different perspectives. Adam is an attorney who is a pioneer in helping people with existing student loan debt. Joe wants to help families plan on the front end before college even starts to help families become smarter consumers of a college education. \nLast year’s Journal article\, “Changing the Approach to College Funding Advice”\, from Joe had such a positive response that the FPA has asked him back to participate\, and we are so very thankful for the opportunity to contribute and be on the panel with Adam.
